Extrapolation is incredibly powerful for increasing speed and accuracy in various numerical tasks in scientific computing. Extrapolation can transform even the most mundane of algorithm such as Trapezoid Rules into an extremely fast and accurate algorithm, increasing the rate of convergence by more than one order of magnitude. Extrapolation is an extremely powerful tool available to numerical analysts for improving the performance of a wide verity of mathematical methods. Since many interesting problems cannot be solved analytically, we often have to use computers to drive approximate solutions. In order to make this process efficient, we have to think carefully about out implementations; this is where extrapolation comes in. Extrapolation attempts to rectify the problem by computing "weighted averages" of X2 Liu relatively poor estimate to eliminate the error modes specifically. Applying a simple extrapolation scheme on trapezoid makes this simple method extremely powerful, converging difficult problems quickly and achieving higher accuracy in the process.
