(VU-Study-Corner) Some tips for checking for trojans left by Hackers....


Some tips for checking for trojans left by the fraudster.

Precautionary steps to prevent entry into one's email account by a hacker: Sign out from email after use.

In addition to change of the password, check if there is any trojan inserted in the email account settings for forwarding or for return reply. 

One way is to send an email to yourself; then try replying to that email. See what TO address is shown. 

Some account setting options may contain trojans:

For example, in Gmail account settings: Accounts and Import section,

There is an option Add another email address you own. See if any spurious address has been added.

in Gmail account settings: Forwarding and POP/IMAP section,

There is an option for Add a forwarding address. See if any spurious address has been added.
