Tuje kya khbr mre hal ki

Mre dard mre malal ki

Ye mere kheal  ka silsla

Kisi yad se ha mila howa

Use dekhna  use sochna

Mri zindgi ka ha fasla

Ye usei palkno k sye hn

Mri ruh mn jo uthr gye

Ye janone manzle ishaq ha

Jo chle to jan se guzar gye

Jo chle to jan se guzzar gye

Muje is muqam pe chorna

Ha ye bewfi ki inteha……

Ye qafas ho jase khuli fiza

Yhni sukh ka snas mn lo sada

Jinne ttri dead ki peyas thi

Wo katore nano se bhr gye

Ye janano manzle ishaq ha

تلخی زبان تک تھی وہ دل کا برا نہ تھا
مجھ سے جدا ہوا تھا مگر بے وفا نہ تھا

طرفہ عذاب لائے گی اب اس کی بددعا
دروازہ جس پہ شہر کا کوئی کھلا نہ تھا

شامل تو ہوگئے تھے سبھی اک جلوس میں
لیکن کوئی کسی کو بھی پہچانتا نہ تھا

آگاہ تھا میں یوں تو حقیقت کے راز سے
اظہار حق کا دل کو مگر حوصلہ نہ تھا

جو آشنا تھا مجھ سے بہت دور رہ گیا
جو ساتھ چل رہا تھا مرا آشنا نہ تھا

سب چل رہے تھے یوں تو بڑے اعتماد سے
لیکن کسی سے پاؤں تلے راستہ نہ تھا

ذروں میں آفتاب نمایا تھے جن دنوں
واصف وہ کیسا دور تھا وہ کیا زمانہ تھا
